In celebration of Earth Day this month of April, Pandi Water District (PanWaDis) Management planted 60 pcs. of Calamansi seedlings in its 5 pumping stations namely: Siling Matanda Water Pump Station (WPS),  Sitio Gubat WPS,  Bagong Luma WPS,  Pandi Residence 1 WPS and Bagong Barrio WPS.

The purpose of this activity was to save Mother Earth from destruction and by planting trees we hope to increased level of awareness on the significant role of trees in water conservation, preservation and climate change.

Why calamansi seedling was chosen?  Because,  it can easily adopt our climate condition and calamansi fruits were known for boosting the body’s immune system, citrus fruits were very effective having high in Ascorbic Acid or vitamin C content.

Planting trees help to reduce ozone levels most importantly, trees sequester carbon, helping to remove carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from the air, which cools the earth.
